The Danville County Railroad Train Layout

  This new article is all about Trolley/StreetCar #463. This is a Desire St trolley in a green paint scheme.The photo above shows the trolley sitting beside the roundhouse with the interior lights on. There is advertising on the front and sides of the trolley. Front view of #463 where the engineer is siting at the front.

 This Locomotive Review features a Canadian Pacific Alco FA2 #1405. The photo above shows the locomotive siting beside the roundhouse and in front of a signal waiting to depart. This locomotive can be on different types of trains including local trains and passenger trains.

  This new article is all about the Motor Car's (Speeder's) on the layout. The first photo which is above show's one of the Motor Car's running past the roundhouse towards the Grovemont Yard with an engineer at the controls. This speeder has a front headlight as well 2 levers, and a rear brake light. This next motor car also has a front headlight and rear brake light, as well as a horn, lever and front coupler.  The next motor car we're looking at looks the same as the first one. It is a light brown color with the DVCRR lettering on the side near the wheels and a lever. There is an engineer sitting on the car in the photo above.

  This locomotive review is all about New Haven Switcher #1621. The photo above shows the locomotive sitting in the 3rd track of the roundhouse. This locomotive usually operates on local trains or switches around the yard.

  This new article is all about the Santa Fe #3560 locomotive cab. This cab sits near the trains on display which is in the area of the Grovemont Yard. The cab is a high hood cab and is in the blue and yellow paint scheme of the Santa Fe. #3560's Cab sititng on display near one of the motor car's.

This new article is all about Great Northern Rotary Snowplow X-1610. This is the only snowplow on the layout at the moment. It is in a maroon paint scheme with the number and Great Northern logo on the sides. The photo above and photo below whow the snow plow going by the roundhouse near the rail yard. This lcomotive review is all about this N Scale Pennsylvannia Railroad E Unit 5867. This locomotive is used on the N Scale portion the layout and usually pulls passenger cars, but sometimes pulls freight cars. The photo above is 5867 sitting near the passenger station and near the rail yard.  

  This new article is all about Amtrak Dining Car #8510. The photo above shows the diner at night on display with some yellow steps in front of the coupler and front door. This car usually sits on display and occasionally is used on the layout trains. Front view of #8510

  In this Locomotive Review #4 we look at Seaboard Coast Line Rail Diesel Car #201. This is an RDC-1 type. The photo above shows the RDC heading by the railroad crossing near the roundhouse heading out of the yard area. This is currently the only RDC on the layout.

  In this locomotive review #5 we are looking at Rio Grande Locomotive 3980. The photo above shows the locomotive sitting beside the passenger station as well as one of the display trains. This locomotive is mainly used on local trains. 3980 going by one of the railroad crossings.
