Article #70: More Backdrops and how it can be Done

 
This is the 2nd article all about doing backdrops with model trains and we will go over 1 way it could be done and the way it was done in the photo above. The photo above shows Norfolk Southern SD60M 6800 leading a loaded coal train with a nice blue sky. This photo in the background is a composite photo not originally a part of the photo showing the locomotive on the layout. This can be a good way of doing backdrops where you erase the background of the original photo and if 2 pictures like this fit together. The angle here is more so an oncoming angle where you can see the background well. Also getting real photos that fit with the photo on the layout is another key thing.
Here is another photo like this and it is of Santa Fe GP3802 3500 with the brakeman standing on the engine ready to go into the yard.

  In this new article we will be looking at Penn Central Bay Window caboose #4930.  In bay window cabooses, crew that were monitoring trains sat in the middle of the caboose in a section of wall that projected from the side of the caboose.   In this new article we will be looking at two trailer train car carriers that were added to the fleet of freight cars not long ago. The first photo above shows one of them with a vehicle on the top of it. This kind of car carrier has two different levels for vehicles. Here is the second car carrier sitting in the grovemont yard where we see some cars on both levels. Here is another photo of the same car carrier where we see a VW car on the top level and a red car in the lower level/

Article #85: HO Scale Yellow Fairmont MT-14 Motor Car w/ Southern Railway Caboose X2715 Outside

  In this new article on the blog, we see some HO Scale models outside. Here we see a yellow Fairmont MT-14 motor car with some Christmas lights on the top with a railroad cart and behind it is Southern Railway wooden caboose X2715. This motor car, along with many others run on the layout regularly. The same can be said for this caboose, this caboose operates frequently as well. Here is a different view of the motor car and caboose.
