The most impressive steam locomotive on the DVCRR is the Santa Fe Blue Goose 4-6-4 Hudson #3460. In the photo above it is sitting beside the Grovemont Passenger Station for visitors to come and take a look at. For the most part it is a display piece but at tomes will be lashed up with a couple of passenger cars or a diesel locomotive sent out of the Grovemont Yard.

From the passenger station to the roundhouse, you will see a few trains as they make their night runs. Western Maryland #20 on Light Move Sitting right beside the passenger station is Western Maryland GP7 #20 ready to head out of the yard at Grovemont on a light move. The light move is essentially a work train headed down the line towards one of the other yard's where the trains originate The platform of the station is lit up shining right onto the train. It will meet a local freight up the line after departing. After the Go7 had gone by, we see Alco S3 #6 pulling a local freight back towards the yard at Grovemont. On this photo is is hauling 1 boxcar past the main railroad crossing by the roundhouse. The roundhouse is where the locomotive will turn in for the night getting ready for the next morning.
